OPEN A COMPANY IN MEXICO
The strategic geographic location, the natural wealth, the great human capital and the multiple free trade agreements that our country has, have been key factors in achieving a hasty growth of the Mexican economy, which has allowed us to position ourselves among the emerging economies with more hope of development in the coming decades.
Currently advanced economies tend to remain stable by limiting their growth, so the possibility of investing in a country whose economy is emerging rapidly is interesting. Besides, here is an exciting fact: Mexico is among the top 20 economies in the world in 2022.
In Mexico, the opening of a society is not as complex as you might think. The first step is to decide what kind of society it will be. Authorization for the corporate name of the company is then requested from the Ministry of Economy. This opinion will be issued in no more than five business days, and in the meantime you can work with the statutes that will govern the company, that is, share capital, number of partners, form of administration, duration, domicile, etc. Once the statutes are approved by the partners, the signing is scheduled at the Notary or Public Brokerage of preference, and it will issue the first testimony in a period not exceeding 15 business days.
In order for the company to be duly registered in the Public Registry of Property and Commerce, an inscription must be made, which can be obtained on the same day as the signing of the articles of incorporation with the Notary, or done in person, although through this form it can take up to a month to issue the certificate.
Finally, the constitution of the company must be registered with the Tax Administration Service, which will issue the Federal Taxpayer Registry with which it will be able to fulfil its tax obligations. On average, a company in Mexico can take two to three months to incorporate.
From the point of view of immigration policies, we have a unilateral visa treaty that allows US citizens to enter Mexico without the need to request prior permission from the immigration authority, initially having a stay permit of up to 180 days without permission to carry out remunerated activities. This condition allows those interested in investing in Mexico to observe and assess the possibility of doing so, which would be a great advantage for both economies and for their rapid growth in the coming years.
